KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES – This year’s 35th issue of Shueisha‘s Weekly Shonen Jump revealed on Monday that Burnout Syndromes and NICO TOUCHES THE WALLS will perform the theme songs for Haikyu!! Karasuno Kōkō VS Shiratorizawa Gakuen Kōkō (Haikyu!! Karasuno High vs Shiratorizawa Academy), the third anime season based on Haruichi Furudate‘s Haikyu!! volleyball manga. Burnout Syndromes is performing the opening theme song “Hikariare,” and NICO TOUCHES THE WALLS is performing the ending theme song “Mashi Mashi.”

Burnout Syndromes previously performed the second opening theme song for the Haikyu!! Second Season series. NICO TOUCHES THE WALLS previously performed theme songs for The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Naruto Shippūden, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Captain Earth, and C – Control – The Money and Soul of Possibility, as well as the ending theme song for the first season of Haikyu!!.

The 35th issue also revealed a new illustration of the Shiratorizawa Academy team in uniform. The 33rd issue of the magazine had revealed the cast for the team earlier this month:

  • Subaru Kimura as Satori Tendō
  • Shimba Tsuchiya as Tsutomu Goshiki
  • Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Kenjirō Shirabu
  • Teruyuki Tanzawa as Reon Ōhira
  • Takuma Terashima as Eita Semi
  • Kenji Fukuda as Hayato Yamakata
  • Daiki Ōmori as Taichi Kawanishi
  • Ryota Takeuchi as Wakatoshi Ushijima

The anime will premiere in October.

The staff is returning from the first two seasons. Susumu Mitsunaka is again directing the series at Production I.G with assistant director Mariko Ishikawa. Taku Kishimoto is handling series composition and Takahiro Kishida is designing the characters. Yuuko Yahiro is joining Takahiro Chiba as a chief animation director. Hiromi Kikuta is serving as sound director and Yuuki Hayashi and Asami Tachibana are composing the music.

The first anime season premiered in April 2014. The second season premiered in October 2015. Sentai Filmworks has licensed and released the first season on home video, and has also licensed the second season. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons as they aired.

The anime franchise also received two compilation anime films last July and September.

Viz Media published the first volume of the original manga in North America on July 5.
